No. Court Chemist is an independent product for USTA adult league captains and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the United States Tennis Association. USTA is a trademark of its respective owner.
Does Court Chemist choose the lineup for me?
No. It provides ranked options and explains the tradeoffs. The captain can add constraints, adjust assignments, or build the lineup manually.
What information influences a recommendation?
Depending on the team's settings and available data, Court Chemist can consider ratings, availability, partner chemistry, playing styles, playing-time balance, consecutive sits, and captain constraints.
Can Court Chemist provide opponent insights?
Yes. AI-enabled captains can use the Court Chemist MCP to explore opponent data and ask for insights. Those MCP insights support the captain's analysis; they are separate from the factors used by the core lineup suggestions.
Can I import an existing spreadsheet?
Court Chemist is built around the roster, availability, opponent, and result data captains already keep in spreadsheets. Supported import formats are being confirmed during the captain beta, so send us the sheet you use and we will tell you what it takes today.
Which USTA formats are supported?
Court Chemist supports configurable combinations of doubles and singles courts and checks USTA cap and singles-eligibility rules for supported formats. We are still verifying the complete list of adult formats covered and will publish that list as each format is confirmed.
Do my players need to pay?
No. Court Chemist is designed around the captain's team account; players do not pay for participation.
Can the captain override a recommendation?
Yes. The captain always makes the final decision and can edit assignments or apply constraints.
Is team strategy public?
No. Lineup recommendations and captain notes stay inside the team's private account.
Where do player ratings come from?
Captains can enter or import rating data they already track. Court Chemist does not receive official USTA dynamic ratings, and any third-party rating estimate is exactly that — an estimate, not an official USTA rating.
